Fixtures for the weekend:

Tomorrow: U12 Cup Final
Mooncoin Celtic v Kilmacow, kick off 10.30
After less than 24 hours since the lads won their semi final, here we are previewing the final. The tired bodies from last night will get little time to recover but come tomorrow morning at 10.30 Derek’s squad will be raring to go.
This will be the clubs first schoolboy cup final since 2011, a long wait but hopefully it will be worth it on what will be a proud but emotional day.
They face a Kilmacow side who finished second in the league and will be hoping to continue their own clubs successful season where a number of trophies have been secured already at both adult and schoolboy level and they also have an u13 cup final to come aswell.
The two meetings in the league both finished 1-0 to Kilmacow so very little between them on the day. It has been a long season for both management and players since last August. This being Derek Tebays first season in charge, he has moulded a nice group together and even though they finished lowly in the league, they have matched the best of what’s in that league during the season.
This group have worked hard all winter to improve and slowly but surely they are progressing.
As a young group they were dealt a devastating blow when Rocky passed away in April, but this has galvanized them and brought them ever closer with an incredible spirit among the squad. They stood together as a squad at his removal and burial to show maturity beyond their years. Rocky had got involved on the training pitch last October and had become very popular with the group before his untimely death.
Tomorrow, they will give their all again. They would like everyone to come and support them and shout them on as they look to take one last scalp and win the cup.
So please get yourselves out to Tramore for 10.30 in the morning. It’s going to be a cracker. Our Youths defied the odds when they beat Ballinroad to win their cup.
This young squad can repeat the trick, no question.
The very best of luck to both players and management tomorrow.
Fingers crossed the Rock will shine down on us again.
COME ON MOONCOIN CELTIC!
