The curtain came down on what can only be described as a very good season. An end to end clash in Ashgrove this afternoon. We started off slow today but got into our stride as the game went on. We were unlucky not to score on three occasions but a resilient Ballinroad goalkeeper played the game of his life to keep a clean sheet and pulled off brilliant saves. We knocked on the door time and time again but we couldn’t break the deadlock. A scrappy enough goal was the difference between the two teams today. Great advertising for underage football. We now have a few weeks to regroup and add to the squad and next season will be an exciting one for this bunch. The squad today as follows: Adam Conway, Ciara O’Keeffe, Tom Conway, Mikey Cronin, Liam Hogan, Denis Kinsella, Alex Bailey, Lee Freyne, Sean Lennon, Conor Dermody, Sam Hartwell, Matthew Morahan, Daniel Roberts, Eoin O’Callaghan. The management team would like to thank everyone for their hard work and it’s been fantastic watching the development of this squad. And we are looking forward to next season already!
