We will wait until the 18th May to see will it possible to hold a live draw and if we can, we will have 3 draws together; one for March, April and May. We are continuing to buy lotto tickets each week and March winnings were €228 and April winnings were €266 which is a total of €1664 at present for the 2019/2020 year. We appreciate your patience with us in this difficult time and are grateful for your continued support. Thank you!

Sports Capital Grant
BREAKING NEWS
With us all in lockdown over the last few weeks and still unsure of when we will get back to some bit of normality it is nice when a bit of good news arrives.
This week a little bit of good news regarding our Development in Suir Crescent landed which we would like to share with you all.
Following our 2018 (yes 2018) Sports Capital Grant Application, we are delighted to finally receive the approval of a grant of €75000 towards the development. This is great news for the club as we get ready to move into the next stage of the development. This successful application would not have been possible without the continued support of our 300 Club Syndicate. The success of the syndicate and the money generated by it has been crucial in securing funding towards the development, so a massive thank you to all that have supported it to date and we hope this support will continue as the development progresses.
Well done to all that were involved in the securing of this grant. We will announce the next stage of planned works in due course.

Ice bucket challenge 2014
A number of years ago the ice bucket challenge was all the rage and back in 2014 our under 14 squad at the time coaxed their coach Rocky into the hotseat for the challenge.
Here’s a link to the video on Facebook.
In remembrance
Today marks the second anniversary of the passing of our good friend and coach Rocky. It is still very strange not to see him in his club jacket marching up and down the hill to Mooncoin Heights. God knows what this colourful character would have made of the Coronavirus situation we are all going through.
A unique man that will always be remembered by everyone in the club.

Update on COVID-19 and football

20×20 call to action
Today, 20×20 launched a call to action that asks the whole country to #ShowYourStripes for women in sport by pledging one action- to either participate more, attend more,or promote more women’s sport.
As a club we have been very lucky to see our girls section grow rapidly in the last two years to a point where we have 60+ girls playing u10,u12 and u14 every other weekend and some are playing schoolboys soccer too while also having a steady stream of girls attending academy every week. This rapid growth in the girls section would not have been possible without the help of coaches, 4 of which are female coaches which is crucial to develop and bring girls soccer forward. On the committee side of things, there is also strong female presence on hand to keep the club moving forward.
We are always on the lookout for more help, be it on the coaching side or administration/committee side.
So any ladies out there looking to get involved on any level with our club or feel they could bring something new to the club please get in touch through our Facebook page, Twitter or Instagram.
