Some exciting news to share with everyone this evening….
Young Emily Blackmore has been selected for the u13 FAI Centre of Excellence Squad.
This is a tremendous achievement for Emily who fully deserves her selection as she done extremely well in the Gaynor Cup this year and also excelled at the recent trials.
The fact Emily only turns 12 later this year makes her selection even more remarkable and she can look forward to very exciting times over the next few months and years hopefully. There is a very proud family in Polerone tonight and also a very proud club who are over the moon tonight for this hard working young girl. Absolutely mega Emily, well done young lady.

Big well done to Emily Blackmore on her selection for the upcoming u13 FAI Centre of Excellence trials. Great achievement for this hard working young lady who is still u13 for the season coming and her performances at the recent u13 Gaynor Cup weekend have paid off with this selection.
The Sweep Bar, runners up of the pubs league. Captain Dean Purcell lifting the trophy and the chairman 😂 and The Region, winners of The Pubs League 2019.
The Reg 1 The Sweep 0
A super tight game was always on the cards and that was exactly what we got. Little room was given by either team and chances were very rare with Tomas Wall and Dean Purcell well on top in either goal. A scoreless first half would have had The Sweep in confident mood going into the second period but slowly The Reg got a foothold on the game and the game swung in their favour when Andrew Power opened the scoring and a red card was dished to a player from The Sweep in the space of a minute. Luke Duggan brushed a post with a header shortly after and this was as close as The Sweep got as Mick Cummins led a team to victory for the 3rd time in 4 years.
A tight game but there had to be a winner and a loser. Eoin Kiely and The Sweep will be back next year looking to dethrone Mick Cummins and his squad.
