Youths result: Kilmacow 1 Mooncoin Celtic 0

A disappointing result with the winning goal coming from a very obvious offside position. We had a couple of good chances in the first half and really should have been ahead at half time. Overall a very good performance with Mooncoin being much the better team in the first half although the boys tired a bit in the second half they deserved at least a point.

Major improvement in this squad the last 2 weeks and will compete for the plate once the league is split. They will also have the divisional cup to play for as well come the end of season. Keep up the good work in training.

Youths result: Mooncoin Celtic 5 Tramore Rangers 0

A good all round performance and a clean sheet secured. Playing with the breeze from the off James Delahunty scrambled home the opener but wastefulness and bad luck prevented the lads from adding to it. The second half was a different story with the lads dominating throughout. Kevin Conneely scored a tidy second goal before Ben Keating rifled in a brilliant third. A scrappy fourth goal by Ben again finished Tramore Rangers and the icing was put on the performance when Ciaran Quilty eventually notched with a 25 yarder. A different attitude on show today with a proper shape and structure in place. A good day but more work needed. Kilmacow away next Sunday will test the lads to the max.
