School Boys/Girls and Junior League Football in South Kilkenny
The Mooncoin Celtic Schoolgirls and Schoolboys 50/50 draw was held last Sunday and the winner was:

The 2022 Gaynor Cup at U14 level will be run over June 7th – 11th in the University of Limerick and all here at MCFC would like to wish the whole Waterford U14 Development squad the best of luck.

A beautiful sunny evening in Suir Crescent was the scene for our final academy session of the season.
Ice cream enjoyed by all boys, girls and coaches as well as a little bit of soccer. Hope to see all academy kids back on the 25th June for our Soccer Marathon and returning for academy sessions in September.
What a night as the Mooncoin Celtic U15s win 4-1 to win the Cup and on the same night are also crowned 2021-22 League Champions.

This week saw the final training session for both Marti and Dani before their return home to Spain.
What a season they have had with both the u15 and u16 squads. A league title with the u15s and cup finals with both squads.
They are pictured with their u15 team mates recieving their squad jerseys . We wish them all the best and hope that they come back to visit us soon.
Two fantastic players and two great kids that will be missed by us all.
The MCFC U15 team play in a Cup Final this evening in Tramore at 8:00pm. Please wish them the very best virtually, or even better still get out to Tramore to show the team some support.

Carrick V Mooncoin was the u16 cup semi final fixture ,,, and with teams that finished joint second on the league table , it was always going to be a battle .
Both teams went at this game with the prize of a Cup final at the forefront of their minds .
Mooncoin put it up to Carrick . Our previous meeting had been a one way affair , and our girl made sure that , that wasn’t the case again last night .
Carrick pressed from the beginning and our defence worked very hard to keep them at bay . Mooncoin pressed equally and saw a chance to score come and go .
Carrick took the lead mid way through the half , but Mooncoin battled and stuck together and brought it to the break still at 1-0 .
The second half was just as epic as the first half. It was end to end stuff . With Carrick scoring their second goal on the mid way mark of the second half . That goal ultimately putting the game beyond our reach .
Carrick move on to a Cup final, and last nights game brought the curtains down on what has been a fantastic season for this u16 Mooncoin Team .
