Weekend Review

Saturday
U11D
Mooncoin Celtic 6
Hibs 3
Our youngest u11 group had a good win with Henry,Billy, Kieran and Jake among the goals for this talented bunch. Great experience gained for them throughout the season.

U11C
Park Rangers 0
Mooncoin Celtic 1
A second half goal from the ever improving Billy saw three points clinched in a damp Faithlegg. Only one league game left for this bunch ahead of the cup.

U11B
Mooncoin Celtic 5
Tramore 0
Donncha, TJ and Tadhg grabbed the goals in a good win for a team who still have a lot of games to play in this league.

U11A
Southend 5
Mooncoin Celtic 1
A disappointing result for a ring rusty side who were short a few regulars. Credit to Southend on the day.

U13B
Ballyduff 0
Mooncoin Celtic 3
Short a lot of regulars on the day but this side put in a great performance with Shay,Eoin and Max getting the goals to keep them top at the half way mark.

U13A
Mooncoin Celtic 0
Southend 5
One of the best u13 sides in the country visited yesterday and although we kept in touch up to half time with the score at 1 nil, Southend turned on the style with 4 second half goals.

U15
Dungarvan 5
Mooncoin Celtic 1
Again a side short many regulars on the day and a big thanks to all u14s that stepped up to help out. Noise got out goal against a decent Dungarvan team.

Sunday
U10 Girls Blitz
Park Rangers hosted the blitz today and our girls were excellent throughout the three games with the twice weekly sessions paying dividends.

U17 Girls Munster Cup
Mooncoin Celtic 4
Midleton 5
(AET)
An absolute belter of a cup tie took place in sunny Suir Crescent today with the game ebbing and flowing from start to finish. The Cork outfit came out on top after extra time with a great winner. Goals from Faye Maher 2, Katelyn Moore and Anna Reddy were not enough but the girls can be very proud of their performance today.

A mixed bag of results over the weekend for the 9 teams in action and the three teams that played friendly games too. The highlight of the weekend was our U14 Girls goalkeeper Hannah captaining Waterford Schoolgirls in their National Shield Final, proud day regardless of end result.
