Again the lads worked very hard and got two great goals.We played some very nice football at times and showed great resilience and character in the last 10 mins to get the win

U16 Result Mooncoin 1-5 Tramore

With only 11 players available we done our best with a few younger players called up also. We went 1 up but conceded shortly after. We kept it at 1 all until the last 20 minute’s when Tramore’s fresh legs made the difference

U12 Mooncoin 0-5 Tramore

Brand new team with a mix of u12s u11s and u13s girls ran themselves into the ground today, plenty positives to take from the game, but 5 soft goals gave Tramore all 3 points.

U12B Villa v MCFC 1-4.

A fantastic start to the season. 2 goals each from April Morrissey and Emma O’Keeffe. Great support from the rest of the team against a solid Villa team.

U18A Bohs 1 Mooncoin 4

Our u18s first run out to defend our league title away to Bohs got off to a great start when Alexi Walsh slotted home early in the first half. A break of play shortly after allowed Bohs to equalise. Despite a number of chances and pressure on the bohs goal we went into the break 1-1. The girls however stepped it up another gear in the second half and the pressure proved too much for the bohs defence. 2 goals from Sophie Phelan and another from Alexi with a superb finish sealed the win. An excellent team performance and start to the new season.

3B Seaview Celtic 2 Mooncoin Celtic 0

Recent cup winners Seaview took all three points on a breezy Sunday morning with a goal in each half with plenty of chances for both sides throughout also. Congratulations to Seaview on their recent cup win.

U14B Tramore 0 Mooncoin 5

We played the first half against a strong breeze. The girls defended brilliantly and had some chances but just didn’t convert. 0-0 at halftime. We decided to move Maria Dunphy up front to use her pace and it paid dividends in first 10 minutes of 2nd half. She set up eabha for the first and then scored a brilliant goal herself to make it 2-0. We were on top all over the field and Maria combined again with Sarah who finished like a top striker does. The fourth goal was worth the wait as Maeve struck from outside the box and the ball nestled in the top corner. And last but not least Gwyn stepped forward for a free kick and riffled it to the net from 22 yards out. 5-0 it finished great team performance
