U10’s Mooncoin Celtic 2 Abbeyside 9

The lads tasted defeat for the first time this season and it was a heavy one against a big Abbeyside team. Goals from Aaron Foran and Alex Whittle. Really good performances from some of the lads who kept going to the end to their credit. We will pick ourselves up and move on swiftly

U14 Villa FC 3 MooncoinCeltic 3

Started very well, had control of the game created a couple of good chances but didnt take them. All of a sudden found theirselves 2-0 down.Stayed that way till halftime..Came out all guns blazing in 2nd half ,played some great football ,got 3 goals in 20 minutes looked like they were gonna get all 3 points. A deflected goal with 2 minutes to go cost us and ended up a draw.In fairness to them they played really well couple of lapses in conentration cost them .They say everyday is a school day ,so hopefully we learned today that concentration and focus levels have to kept at a high level throughout. All in all great effort to get back into it and all worked really hard with some great performances out there.

U12B Kilmacthomas 6 Mooncoin Celtic 2

The girls played well today but had to battle both strong winds and a tough team. Clodagh Barden and April Morrissey scored two beautiful goals and we had some great chances throughout the game. We look forward to the next match.

U18A Girls Tramore 3 Mooncoin Celtic 3

We were away Wednesday night to Tramore for a top of the table clash against last years u17 FAI cup winners. The girls showed amazing team work and determination throughout the match. With some beautiful passages of play on display. A quality 3 goals and hat trick for Lexi Walsh on the night. The game ended in a 3-3 draw and an excellent point gained away from home against a strong Tramore side.
