U11 5-a-side
Our u11 management team of John Hearne, Mick Thompson, Trevor Murphy and Dick Walsh had a busy Sunday morning starting up the mini world cup for the big squad of u11 players.
Great to see all of the kids playing all the games, getting maximum game time.
Munster cup result Brideview Utd 5 Mooncoin 0
Our 2a squad travelled to premier opposition in West waterford today and not for the want of trying came out on the wrong side of a 5-0 defeat , missing key players , didn’t help . but full credit to all the lads who made the trip and after 7mins found themselves 2-0 down battled on with good performances all around the field against superior opposition never gave up . The scoreline didn’t really reflect the game in which we had a few good chances but on the day brideview deserved the victory . On to red star in the league next week
Youth cup result Mooncoin 5 Lions (Carlow) 3
A poor first half display after going 1 nil ahead from Ben Fitz ..Lions came back into the game to go in at ht 2.1 ahead .
Improved a bit in second half and equalised from the penalty spot through Lee Tracey..Went behind again shortly after and should have been further behind only for a couple of good saves from Darragh.
James Delahunty swung the game in our favour when he nodded home a free kick and followed that with a second soon after .Lee Tracey finished the scoring with a solo effort just on full time.
Well done to the lads involved in their hurling semi final victory and best of luck in the final in a couple of weeks.
Well done lads great result

U12 result, Carrick B 3 Mooncoin Celtic 5
A great team performance in very wet conditions, we set the tempo from the start with 3 great saves from the Carrick keeper but we took the lead and didn’t stop till the final seconds. Carrick came back at us but we upped the tempo a bit and finished comfortably with goals coming from Anil, Daragh and a hat trick from Robbie Doherty. It was hard to pick a man of the match but Finbarr Purcell and Robbie Doherty will have to share this one. Well done lads, great performance.
