Second anniversary of the turning of the sod
The second anniversary of the turning of the sod on our new development in Suir Crescent falls on the 18th of July and huge progress has been made since that historical day two years ago.
Breaking news today from Kilkenny, the club are delighted to announce that we have been awarded €30,000 under the Capital Cultural Facilities Scheme in association with Kilkenny County Council. Great news to get on a Monday.
Grass is growing
The grass is growing at a serious rate on the new ground with the wet weather and still plenty heat in the ground these last few weeks.

It looks superb in such a short few weeks.

The lasers are out
The lasers are out today in Suir Crescent making sure the ground is nice and level in preparation for our 2 grass pitches. Hats off to Declan Walsh and sons for extraordinary work done in the last couple of weeks.

Ground work will progress soon
Little update for everyone on the Suir Crescent development. Due to the weather the last 2 weeks, work has stopped as the ground is unsuitable to prepare for the drainage work but there is still a huge amount of work done to date. Fingers crossed the weather will be good to us in the coming days and the work will recommence.
Bad weather No problem
The bad weather didn’t stop the ongoing works in Suir Crescent today as the preparation for drainage works continued. Trojan work being done on a daily basis by the lads.
