Our U13s had a hard fought draw at home to piltown today that finished 2-2 it was a tight first half but piltown nicked 2 soft goals from set pieces. As soon as the second half kicked off Mooncoin Celtic were on top and got 2 goals back but probably should of got more. All and all the lads showed great character to claw their way back into it. Goal scorers were TJ and Aaron.
A right ding doing battle took place in Kilrush Park in Dungarvan. A couple of early goals saw the hosts nudge ahead but our boys kept at it but unfortunately luck wasn’t on their side. Dungarvan scored a third before we pulled a goal back through Denis who headed home a corner. The second saw an even enough affair and Dungarvan held on for three points.
A rusty performance for our first game in two months,we conceded a goal early in first half and it was an uphill task after that with Edmond unlucky not to get on the scoresheet.
Best on day for us was half time sub Aidan.
Our youngest group headed to Williamstown to face De la Salle on astro turf and a much improved performance by the boys which will give them confidence going forward. A goal in each half secured the three points for De la Salle.
League leaders Dungarvan were our visitors this morning in bright cold conditions and this young group were given a simple game plan in nullifying the stronger outfit. Everyone of the boys were disciplined in shape and positioning in the first half and went in 1-0 down at half time. Second half saw Dungarvan try everything to breach the boys but some brilliant defensive work throughout saw them hold Dungarvan to long range efforts and they nicked a second goal to win the three points on offer. Big improvements in this young squad who will pick up points as the season runs on.
A fresh Wednesday evening saw a hive of activity with all our U11 teams training aswell as U12A which was brilliant to see. Weather forecast is good for Saturday so 🤞 we will get some games played.

We held our Ladies end of season awards night last night in Comerfords. A great night was had by all with some serious shapes thrown on the dance floor. Congratulations to Ciara O’Keeffe who won Player of the Year and Grace O’Toole who won the Player’s Player of the year award.
Our u16 girls visited Park Rangers for The Shona Heffernan Momorial Tournament and what a great day it was. The weather held off and a great tournament was had by all. We bowed out in the shield semi final.
Thank you very much to all at Park Rangers for their fantastic hospitality.
