A disappointing result this evening in Ashgrove. Neville Synnott got his customary goal but the main talking point of the game was all about the two penalties St Joseph’s got unfortunately.

A scoreline that doesn’t reflect the performance with the lads 2-1 down with 10 minutes remaining but tired legs and inspired substitutions by Tramore saw them pull away in the final few minutes with 3 late goals. Sean O’Dwyer got the goal for the lads.

Our youthful first team squad bounced back from their opening day defeat with a 2-0 win away to Crystal. Chances aplenty were created in the first half by ourselves but no goals to show for it but second half goals from Dylan Harrington and Conor Stacey sealed the 3 points to get the lads off the mark.

Hard luck lads great effort.

Bragging rights in the derby went to Granagh this evening in blustery conditions but 3 soft goals conceded did not help matters for the lads. Neville Synnott and Shane Twomey got on the score sheet and with a little bit of luck a draw could have been snatched towards the end. St Joseph’s are next up at home next Wednesday evening.
