Still short a number of the squad, the lads stuck to the task in the first half but 2 sucker punches in the 10 minutes before half time cost them. With them pushing to get back in the game they conceded 2 more late in the game. Their day was summed up when Ciaran Quilty had a penalty saved aswell. The boys are away to DLS on Wednesday and with a full squad to come they will be a match for any team.

Tramore Rangers 2-4 Mooncoin Celtic. This morning seen a strong, 17 man squad take all 3 points for their first game on the road this season. The first 25 minutes was all Mooncoin with chances wasted in concession. On the half hour mark Savauge linked up well with Dalton and crossed for J.O’Hanlon to volley home from 6 yards out. Mooncoin showed dominance throughout and Dalton ran from the half way line, played a one two with Duggan and found the bottom left on the Rangers net to make it 2-0. The second half was much of the same theme with Duggan and Kavanagh missing chances between them. 5 changes freshened up the side and McGrath linked up well with Synnott to make it 3-0. Rangers clawed one back soon after to make it 3-1, but K. Walsh turned hero for the second game running to finish a fine move for Mooncoin. Another goal late on for Ranger made the scoreline more respectable but this game could of been any scoreline for Mooncoin who came away convincing winners. TEAM: Tebay, Kelly, Dalton, C. O’Hanlon, Tobin, Savauge, J. O’Hanlon, Synnott, R. Walsh, Kavanagh, Duggan. SUBS: L. Walsh, E. Walsh, Doyle, K. Walsh, O’Brien, McGrath. Next up Tramore at home Wednesday @ 6:30pm.

The old saying that substitutes win games rang through for the oldies today when super sub Joseph McCarthy popped up with the all important goal to beat an impressive Dunmore side. 3 points and off the mark for the lads who face St Paul’s at home on Thursday.
