The home side started the opening half hour well, good spells were had and we twice managed to capitalise on the possession. The first came from J.Savauge. A slick passing move from the back came to I.Synnott who laid it into Savauge, he in turn placed the ball into the bottom left hand corner of the net from just inside the box. Similar was the second goal for the home side. A ball was played through from E.Ryan to I. Synnott and he finished off what was another fine move from inside the box for the home side. Mooncoin found themselves 2-0 up and sailing. The wind direction turned and bohs started to get into the game. Bohs No.10 hit a shot under no pressure from 20 yards out and sweetly found the bottom left hand corner of the net . In the second half it was similar again, bohs attacked from the right wing, turned inside across the edge of the box and a deflected shot found the back of the net. What once looked a stroll in the Ashgrove park turned into a dog fight. That being said, Mooncoin created much opportunities throughout the game. The match winner was found 20minutes from time.. A string of passes found J.kavanagh inside the box who was brought down for a penalty. K.walsh stepped up and sent the keeper the wrong way. Further opportunities were created in the final quarter. The best of them landing to J.O’Hanlon. A ball was whisked across the field, played into J.O’Hanlon, and to only reasons he knows, blazed the ball into the next field at the other side of the road. A very mixed performance but another win closer to being crowned champions. 4 games to go keep it going lads
