Golf Classic May 5th

Another date for your diaries is Saturday 5th of May when all budding and experienced golfers can tee up in our golf classic which was cancelled twice last year so fingers crossed this will go ahead.

Venue for the day is Waterford golf club, tee times start at 10am til 4.30. A team of 3 costs just €90 and this includes dinner.

Another exciting game today in Wadding Park when twice Kieran Fagan had Mooncoin ahead & twice Bohs pegged us back within minutes, as the last 10 minutes closed in we threw everything at Bohs but just couldn’t get the break, good all round squad performance by the lads. Man of the match was Luke followed closely by Adrian Daly

U12c Result Mooncoin Celtic 1 – Southend Utd 6

A slow start seen us 4-0 down at half time to a very strong Southend team. A long chat at half time seen a completely different side come out for the second half and take the game to Southend with a few decent/close chances created. A great solo goal and a possible contender for goal of season seen Will Cuddihy rattle the back of the net. Also credit to u12 debutant Alex Kenedy who showed a lot of promise. Despite the score line there was a lot of positives for Derek to take from this match.

One week to the 20k drop

One week to go to the rescheduled show which will now be held in Mooncoin parish hall at 8pm next Saturday. It promises to be a great night with 8 people getting the chance to win €2500 each. There will be a bar on the night aswell. Tickets are priced at €20 for a single ticket or €50 for a group ticket which admits 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 kids. A scoreline which doesn’t reflect the performance with the lads having a bucket load of chances themselves. 4-0 down at half time to a Bohs team that are chasing league honours, this side have to be commended for putting in a strong second half performance. Short of match practice, this run out will stand to them in the next few weeks.
