School Boys/Girls and Junior League Football in South Kilkenny
There was plenty of football and fun with the Academy girls in Piltown.
An action packed evening in Suir Crescent with Mooncoin Celtic academy taking on Piltown in a mini blitz.
Plenty of goals, plenty of tackles and plenty of fun was had. Big thanks to all parents for supporting the boys and also thanks to Richie Connolly and his charges for coming down and we look forward to the return games up in Piltown.

Closing Date for registration for our upcoming Summer Camps is this Friday 23rd July. There are only a few spaces left on each camp so click on the link to register your child.
Our younger group of boys and girls in academy finished up for the summer this evening with a nice casual game of ball and most importantly a nice casual ice cream or slushie. We hope to see all the kids back in September and hopefully some in our summer camp in August. Big thanks to all our coaches and helpers.
In association with the Football Academy of Ireland, we will be holding summer camps for both boys and girls in early August, Covid restrictions permitted. The camps will be led by Darren Murray of Football Academy of Ireland and his experienced team of Uefa qualified coaches and they plan on having 5 days of fun coaching sessions for all the kids. Click on the link to check out the details and register your child for our Summer Camps.

Tomorrow evening will see a new exciting chapter begin for the club when the first of our underage teams will start using our new ground in Suir Crescent for training purposes. Over the next couple of weeks we will be getting used to our new surroundings around drop offs, parking and picking up in the new ground. We are asking all when entering Suir Crescent, please proceed at a reasonable speed and always respect the residence of Suir Crescent when entering and leaving the ground.
It has taken many years to get to this point with the ground now ready for use. All the people of Mooncoin are welcome to come up any evening this week to take a look for themselves to see what a wonderful facility has been developed for the next generation of kids to enjoy.
We will return for academy sessions on Friday 11th December. The academy is open to all primary school boys and girls from junior infants upwards.
We will hopefully get a couple of sessions in before Xmas and all going well, keep going after Xmas once it is safe to do so.
For those still to register, please click on the link to enter details and pay online.
It is important that all kids are registered to enable us to set up the sessions safely and grade kids by their ages.
We will be in touch over the next week regarding times and details around the sessions regarding sanitising etc.

Some our U8 hotshots who performed excellently in the Villa today.
Our U9 academy group travelled to Ballyduff this morning and played a series of games against the home club. Our U8 travelled to Connors park to play Villa in a series of games and the 20+ kids all performed brilliantly.
Big thanks to both clubs for hosting us.
Academy continues tomorrow evening in Carrigeen Astro turf with an earlier start due to the schools fundraiser. The younger group start at 5.30 and the older group starts at 6.30. Again, we are asking for helpers to maximise the attention that all the kids require.
Drop down at 5.30 if interested. We also wish the organising committee of the schools fundraiser the very best of luck tomorrow night. Please share this post.
