Tomorrow evening will see a new exciting chapter begin for the club when the first of our underage teams will start using our new ground in Suir Crescent for training purposes. Over the next couple of weeks we will be getting used to our new surroundings around drop offs, parking and picking up in the new ground. We are asking all when entering Suir Crescent, please proceed at a reasonable speed and always respect the residence of Suir Crescent when entering and leaving the ground.
It has taken many years to get to this point with the ground now ready for use. All the people of Mooncoin are welcome to come up any evening this week to take a look for themselves to see what a wonderful facility has been developed for the next generation of kids to enjoy.

Last Man Standing Update
So another 2 entries dropped tonight with Everton failing to win. That leaves 15 going through to Week 8 in the race for €500. There will be a couple of weeks break until the next full round of fixtures due to FA Cup Semi Finals and the League Cup final. Fixtures will be sent out in due course. Best of luck to all remaining entries.
3rd anniversary
Today marks the 3rd anniversary of the passing of our dear friend and coach Rocky. His colourful character and presence is still very much missed around our club and village. RIP Coach Rocky
Last Man Standing Update
24 entries head in to Week 7 and the panic has set in as 12 of them have plumped for Arsenal away to Sheffield Utd on Sunday evening. 6 have gone with Man City at home to Leeds in the early kick off tomorrow. 2 have backed Liverpool and 2 are hoping Everton can win away to Brighton on Monday night. We also have one each on Chelsea and Burnley. A wide range of picks as we expected with a lot of so called big guns used by all already. Expect a few fallers again in the race for the €500 prize. Best of luck to all 24 remaining entries.
Sign added to acknowledge support
We added a second sign recently to Suir Crescent acknowledging Kilkenny County Council’s contribution towards the development. In 2019, we were awarded €30000 by the Council towards security fencing and hedging. With the fencing and planting of hedging completed it has added a real structure to the boundary of the ground. That brings the contribution in grants towards the development to €105,000 to date and without these grants some of the work completed so far would not have been possible. To all that contributed towards the successful applications, a big thank you.
Last Man Standing Update
Birthday boy Robbie Tebay who turned 7 today will have the last laugh in Kilmovee this week as a late Newcastle equaliser sent his father Derek Tebay out of the running for the €500 prize. Substitutions in the Aston Villa game saw Eoin Dunphy progress and 2 punters were happy Man Utd done their usual in scraping a late win. We have 6 on Everton and 2 on West Ham tomorrow evening. Also, we lost 10 on Chelsea yesterday and not 9 as previously stated, so 22 are through to Week 7 so far with fixtures starting next Friday evening.
Last Man Standing Update
West Brom and ultimately Thiago Silva’s red card cost 9 entries their place next week, at least Ger Nolan will be happy. 19 are through thanks to Leeds winning and young Robbie Tebay is also through thanks to his faith in Liverpool to make it 20 through so far. Tomorrow Aston Villa, Spurs and Man Utd carry the hopes of 4 more entries.
Last Man Standing Update
The lunchtime kick off of Chelsea v West Brom will carry the hopes of 8 entries while 18 are banking on Leeds to win. The rest are on Liverpool (1), West Ham (2), Man Utd (2), Aston Villa (1), Everton (4) and Spurs (1). 4 entries are still waiting until the last minute to hedge their bets.
