Last Man Standing Update

We resume our competition with Easter weekend fixtures for Round 6. 41 entries are left standing and a big number have plumped for Leeds this weekend against Sheffield United with Chelsea and Everton also the choice of many. Will normal unpredictable results be on the cards after the long break?

300 Club Update

Due to Covid restrictions we are unable to hold the 300 members club monthly draws. By end of March we will be three months behind. At present our plan is to have four draw at the end of April to bring us up to date. We are playing the Lotto on a weekly basis so all members are in the lotto draws and this will continue during lockdown.

Last Man Standing Update

Liam Law put his money on Liverpool tonight and his gamble paid off as he joins the other 40 entries in round 6. There will now be a break until the 3rd April due to FA Cup this weekend and then the international break the following week. Fixtures will be sent out in due course.

Last Man Standing Update 9 fallers

9 fallers so far this weekend due Newcastle’s late equaliser costing Aideen Murphy last night and Chelsea only drawing cost 4 entries while Everton resumed their usual form and slipped up against Burnley to cost 4 more people a spot in round 6. We did have 16 go through with 2 on Palace and 14 on City.
On to tomorrow, with 24 hoping for a Leicester win and one will wait until Monday for Liverpool v Wolves.

Last Man Standing Update

50 entries head in to Week 5 hoping to get an easy passage towards the €500 on offer. The majority are on Leicester with 24 going for a home win against Sheffield Utd. Aston Villa and Liverpool are the brave choice of two of our entrants. 2 have gone for Crystal Palace, with 4 each on Everton and Chelsea. The remainder have gone for Man City against Fulham. We are still waiting on one young man to pick his selection before the 7pm cut off.

New development progress in Suir Crescent.

The first of hopefully many signs was put in place last week in our new development in Suir Crescent. Following the completion of drainage works and ball stop netting, we were only too delighted to display the sign from the National Lottery and the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sports and Media outlining their funding contribution towards work. The €75000 grant we received was a huge help in getting works completed and getting us ready to move in to our new development. The application deadline for the latest round of grants closed recently and fingers crossed we will be successful again in receiving funding towards the next stage of the development.

Last Man Standing Update

89 head in to what is a tricky Week 4 of our competition. Again, a wide variety of choices with 8 on Arsenal in the early kick off, 4 on West Ham against Leeds on Monday evening, 3 on Southampton, 1 each on Man City, Wolves and Aston Villa, 10 people are hoping Leicester get out of their recent slump against Brighton tonight , 32 have gone for inconsistent Spurs against Crystal Palace and 27 people are hoping Liverpool will win at home for the first time in 3 years! Still a couple of entries to get their picks in but that is the lay of the land with the majority going for Liverpool, Spurs and Leicester. 3 clubs who have been struggling recently so a lot of faith is being put in them by people.
Best of luck to all remaining entries.
