Newly promoted Kilmac entertained us in a cold and very breezy Alaska Park. Chances were at a premium for both sides with two very good defences on top. We did hit the bar in the first half but could breach the Kilmac defence further. A good point in difficult conditions against a very good Kilmac team.
Two second half goals by Pete D secured the three points in a breezy Alaska Park. Nil all at half time but a determined display by the 9 boys on duty seen a much better second half and a happy bunch went home with three points.
A bright opening half saw the girls lead 2-1 at the break thanks two goals from Aoibhe V but tired legs and good goals from Ballyduff saw them secure the three points.
A tough start for our youngest group in the warm conditions yesterday evening in Kilrush Park. Goals from Henry and two from Kieran were two of the positives against a bigger Dungarvan side. The boys enjoyed their very first league outing which is the most important thing.
A very one sided affair on a glorious morning in Suir Crescent with our boys trying all they could to get in to the game but Park Rangers were too strong. Better days ahead hopefully.
A cracking derby match in red hot conditions before a large crowd. A hat trick for Charlie M and a Cathal M finish were still not enough to take the three points on offer with Piltown scoring four of their own.
A rip roaring opening game with the lads 3-1 down at half time and came back to lead 4-3 with time running out before Villa scored a late penalty to get a draw. Tyler K, Kevin McG and two excellent finishes from Lexi W saw a point earned.
The lads traveled to carrick today for a sticky first fixture in the blistering heat. We started very brightly and put our stamp on the game from the off with Edmund M and Charlie O’K causing carrick all kinds of problems on the wings. The defence of Billy M, Corey T and Patrick P kept carrick very quiet and the opening goal came late in the first half when Ryan O’L and Charlie O’K done well to win the ball in our half. Ryan set Cormac M away and John Joe W came flying in brilliantly to tuck away Cormac’s cross. Jim C and Aideen O’K came in after the goal to get fresh legs and keep the lead. We played very well in the second half with some smart goalkeeping from Thomas M keeping us in front. Unfortunately he could do nothing to keep out the carrick equaliser which came from a dubious free kick which was very well converted. Chances came and went for both sides but we had to settle for a draw. The defence today was excellent and in particular todays man of the match Corey. The whole team put in an excellent effort today and have definitely all earned an ice cream after it. HON THE COIN 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
This group can count themselves very unlucky to have not got a draw at the very least. A slow start saw them 2 down at the break bug they hit the post and also went close on a couple of occasions too. Second half saw them roar out and hit crossbar twice and post again before pulling a goal back through Liam McDonnell. Try as they might they couldn’t get an equaliser and Bohs got a deflected 3rd goal to sneak it. Disappointed group afterwards but lots learned by all on duty.
Scorching conditions in glorious Ferrybank for a 12.30 kick off. Ferrybank dominated the first half but the boys were well in the game with Ted McLoughlin finishing well to equalise in the first half. Second half saw a couple of sloppy goals given away but back roared the boys with Shane Mackey and Billy Fielding notching. Ferrybank knocked in their 5th to secure all three points. This young side will no doubt improve as the season will progress in the top division.
